Login instructions

Any SSH client can be used. SCP or SFTP can be used to transfer files.

Notes:

• ports 10000 to 10064 are open from outside the firewall, so that those can be used to establish tunnels, etc.
• the server runs an old Slackware distribution, so do not expect bleeding edge software to be installed (an upgrade is on the way!)
• the server is backed up daily, so if you need to recover deleted files, contact sysadmin@isr.ist.utl.pt
• web pages can be setup in the ~/public_html directory and they are visible as http://users.isr.ist.utl.pt/~username
